Unity Stained Glass Suncatcher
 
This beautiful copper-foiled stained glass suncatcher was handmade by Tamara Goldsmith in her Portland, OR studio. This piece was made with a variety of types and colors of stained glass, oranges and blues for the background and bluish pink water glass, and iridescent brown for the hands. The fingernails have been painted with a permanent glass paint in white and black. Delicate wirework has been utilized to add detail to the hands. The background shows a deepening of color at the bottom, lightening up at towards the top.
 
The piece measures about 8” wide and 13" tall. With the chain, it's about 20 inches from the top of the chain to the bottom of the piece.
 
60/40 lead/tin solder was used, thus special care is suggested when cleaning/handling suncatchers containing lead. Lead is only dangerous when inhaling lead dust or ingesting significant quantities over time. There is no health threat to owning a stained glass window containing lead.
All pieces are carefully wrapped to prevent breakage during domestic shipping.
