Third Eye Sphynx Cat Stained Glass Suncatcher
This beautiful copper-foiled stained glass suncatcher was handmade by Tamara Goldsmith in her Portland, OR studio. This piece was made with a variety of different colors and textures of pink stained glass. The forehead shows off dimentionally rippled glass to indicate her furrowed brow, surrounding an all-knowing third eye. Hand-painting further delineates the wrinkles on her little face.
Holes were drilled in the glass to accommodate little earrings on this punk lady, and the rings swing freely in the breeze.
Pink stained glass like this is one of the most expensive colors available due to the gold added to the glass by the manufacturer. Gold is what makes this deep rich pink color. Pricing on both red and pink glass is usually higher than any other color as a result.

It hangs from a black chain about 8 inches from the top and the piece itself is about 9” wide, 11" tall. 
 
60/40 lead/tin solder was used, thus special care is suggested when cleaning/handling suncatchers containing lead. Lead is only dangerous when inhaling lead dust or ingesting significant quantities over time. There is no health risk in owning a stained glass window containing lead in one's home.
All pieces are carefully wrapped to prevent breakage during domestic shipping.
