Fish Eye Stained Glass suncatcher
 
This sweet one-of-a-kind stained glass suncatcher was made by a Portland-based artist, Tamara Goldsmith.
This piece features individually cut pieces of stained glass soldered together using the Tiffany method. It features a surreal combination of both a fish and an eye. Handpainting defines the fins and eye with additional details.

The solder lines on this piece have been given a black patina, and are waxed for a protective, shiny surface. 60/40 lead/tin solder was used and the border is lead came.
Lead is not dangerous to have in your home in an art-piece like this unless sanded, causing lead-dust to be airborne and inhaled or somehow ingested. However, it is always a good idea to wash your hands well after cleaning or handling the piece.
